Why Don't I Get Signs From Loved Ones?

A question that I get repeatedly is "Why don't I get signs from loved ones?" Or people tell me they don't get signs from their loved ones on the other side. Not getting signs can be heartbreaking.

There may be many reasons you're not getting signs. Your loved ones may have their reasons for not contacting you.  But here is a list of common reasons.

1. You Are Getting Signs But You Are Missing Them

Signs from loved ones are usually subtle. Most of the signs we get are not flashing billboards. Wouldn't that be nice? It may be as subtle as simply feeling their presence.  This is easy to miss if you aren't tuned into it. You might be so wrapped up in your grief that your loved one just can't get through to you.

Spirit people don't have physical bodies so they must rely on non-physical means to communicate. They can't speak out loud or tap you on the shoulder. Yes there are exceptions to this - I've experienced it. But generally speaking, spirit people are limited to telepathic communication.

Your loved one may be sending you coins or feathers or even animals as signs but you don't recognize them.  These are very common signs but they are subtle and easy to miss especially if you are having a lot of grief.

2. You See Signs But Dismiss Them as Coincidence

You might see something that reminds you of your loved one.  For example maybe you and your loved one really enjoyed a particular restaurant.  You might be thinking of him or her and see an advertisement for that restaurant.  Or maybe you are thinking of your loved one and your special song comes on the radio. Perhaps you meet someone who has the same name.  Those are all signs your loved one may be sending you but you think they are just coincidences.

3. You Are Getting Signs But Think It's Your Imagination

This is really common. I admit that even as a professional psychic medium this happens to me too. You will especially experience this if you have a logical mind that wants to doubt your experiences.

For example, you might be thinking of your loved one and feel like you are having a conversation with him or her but think it's all in your head. The conversation feels like it's your imagination so you dismiss it as not being real. You might think you hear his or her voice or smell their perfume and think you are imagining it because you miss them so much.

Those are actually very common spirit visitation signs but we miss them because we don't trust the experience.  I suggest trusting and going with it.  It's especially likely that your loved one is visiting you if they just seemingly pop into your head out of nowhere.

4. You're Not Being Patient Enough

I know it feels like you've been waiting forever. But remember there is no time in the spirit world. It's different over there and time does not exist. What feels to us like an eternity doesn't feel like anything at all to the spirit people. You may just have to wait longer for the sign you want.

5. We All Have Free Will

When it comes down to it we all have free will - even the spirit people.  There may be many reasons that they are not contacting you.  Maybe it's just not for the best and highest good for your loved one to contact you. The spirit people have access to information and knowledge that we do not.  There are myriad reasons why they may not yet have contacted you. Perhaps they have a very good reason for not contacting you.

However, even if your loved one in spirit has not yet contacted you it does not mean they have stopped loving you.  Most likely they love you more than ever and are in fact spending time with you but just aren't making their presence known.

We often don't know why other people do the things they do. Sometimes it's hard to understand another person's behavior whether they are living on earth or in spirit.
